Sixth Medical Mission Delta ,Imo and Rivers – Nigeria
Again the last mission team of 2013 was led by Dr. Stuart Quartemont, they arrived on the 9th November 2013 in the company of Dr. Kurt Davis and wonderful man who was with us in Ghana in 2010 at Manna Mission Hospital, Teshie- Accra .The team moved to Eku Baptist Hospital near Warri in Delta State, as always, assisted by local medical personnel..We saw over 200 patients and performed about 48 surgeries for one week . The team left for Mbaise in Imo State where we saw another 200 patients for clinical cases for three days and final destination was Gokana in Ogoniland. Where we broke our record the previous mission in Oct. by performing 22 surgeries in one day. This trip record was a different one probably the biggest fibroid we have even seen .Dr Gbenaador, Quartemont ,Kurt, Duwie and Kama and of course the local medical personnel did excellent job ,We ran out fuel in the last case and used our touch and Nokia phone as touch light during surgery. We also saw about 150 clinical cases and performed 46 surgeries before we left that peaceful community .We promise to will back-Thousands camped in front of the operating room hoping to get their surgery performed.
