Fourth Medical Mission Lagos & Ondo – Nigeria
The team of 11 Americans led by Dr. Stuart Quartemont arrived on the 15th July 2013 and was supported local medical personnel .The stop of the mission was in Lagos at the healing Stripes Redeemed Hospital .We saw over 200 patients and performed about 25 surgeries for five days. The hospital was very nice and high standards in facilities and equipment in high brow area of Lagos. The team left to Ondo State, the venue was Dr Francis Oluotu Hospital where we performed another 25 surgeries with valuable help from Dr Ayodeji Mr. Sylvester Owighotu. The next location was Kaduna where the team performed about 100 surgeries, by the time it was over about 1000 patients were seen clinically and a total 150 surgeries were performed .This mission also has a great social content as about four water filters were distributed by Dr Quartemont to enable the communities we served have access to safe drinking water. The filters were donated to PROFOH by our strategic partner-International Sanitation Organization (ISO) and Waves 4 Water both organizations are based in the United States. The team flew back to Lagos and departed same day to the US.
